Ian Leggett of Clinton Corners Receives History Department Award

ONEONTA, NY (04/29/2019)– Ian Leggett of Clinton Corners, NY, was one of 12 SUNY Oneonta students recognized for academic achievement and outstanding writing during the History Department’s annual awards ceremony this spring.

Leggett, whose major at SUNY Oneonta is History, earned the Michael Wright Memorial Book Award in European History. This award is presented to a History major with an interest in European History demonstrated by high achievement in course work and participation in history-related activities outside the classroom.

Located in the Leatherstocking Region of New York State, SUNY Oneonta is a mid-size, public, liberal arts and sciences college with a pre-professional focus. The college enrolls approximately 6,000 students in a wide variety of bachelor’s degree programs and a number of graduate certificates and degrees.
