Christ Church Episcopal, 9 South Main Street, Sharon, CT

The youngest singers of Chorus Angelicus and The Berkshire Children’s Chorus

No tickets necessary – a free will donation will be taken.

A choral concert on May 5 will bring the best young vocal talent from Litchfield and Berkshire Counties together with a collaboration of the youngest singers of Chorus Angelicus and the Berkshire Children’s Chorus to perform an exciting program of many beloved compositions. Thirty young singers from both organizations, ages 5-12, will perform works in many languages, eras and styles from American folk to choral classics.

Chorus Angelicus was founded in Norfolk by Paul Halley 29 years ago. Gabriel Löfval is the current Artistic Director. The Berkshire Children’s Chorus, founded at the same time, is presently under the direction of Julie Bickford, a former Chorus Angelicus chorister and director! Karen Sovak is the director of Chorus Angelicus Angel Training Program and The Berkshire Children’s Junior Choir and has been with both organizations for many years.

The concert will take place in the historic Christ Church Episcopal. Erected in 1755 and rebuilt in 1819, Christ Church Episcopal has beautiful stained glass windows and impressive ironwork which provide a meditative and beautiful backdrop for weekly services and wonderful performances. Music has always been a significant spirit of the church’s mission. To this day, presenting concerts of this nature are cherished by all who participate, whether church members, concert goers, or performing musicians.  All are welcome!

The performance will be presented free of charge.
