Stephen E. Williams, 70, a resident of Stormville since 1980, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in Kendall Mills on July 26, 1944, he was the son of Thomas Randall Williams and Helen Irene Kruckenberg. Stephen proudly served our country in the US Navy and was employed as an electrical lineman for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for 35 years until his retirement in 2006. He was an avid daredevil and enthusiast of life’s joys: Ice-Pond Racer, Rock Climber, Certified Hang-glider Instructor, Hot Air Balloon Pilot, and Model Rocket Engineer. He was a member of the Balloon Federation of America and the National Association of Rocketry.

Stephen is survived by his girlfriend, Patricia Ann Doyle; his son Mark Williams of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon and Melissa; his siblings, Eugene Williams of ID, Lloyd Williams of Mahopac and Dorothy Manchester of Bath; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his sister Nancy, and his brothers, John, Dick and Bob Williams.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-3pm at 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a Memorial Service with Military Honors officiated by Rev. Taylor Holbrook.
