Middletown man arrested for dealing heroin

Poughkeepsie, New York – On April 16, 2019, the New York State Police Troop K Violent Gang and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) in conjunction with the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office arrested Daquan Charles, age 27, of Middletown, NY, for five counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, and five counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree with intent to sell with a previous conviction, both class B felonies.

An investigation by VGNET Investigators discovered Charles possessed and sold over 138 grams of heroin.  With assistance from the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office, a criminal indictment was obtained from a grand jury, and Charles was subsequently arrested.

Charles was arraigned before the Dutchess County Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $75,000 cash bail or $100,000 secure bond.
