RECENT PUTNAM DWI ARRESTS

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports recent DWI arrests recorded by Deputy Sheriff’s. On Saturday, March 30, 2019, at approximately 12:21a.m., Deputy Sheriff Shane Rossiter observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Danbury Road, located in the Town of Southeast. Deputy Rossiter initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. A subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Garrett Whelton-Pane, age 21, of Bethel, Connecticut, was allegedly intoxicated. Mr. Whelton-Pane was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. He was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated : Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .18 or more (Misdemeanor), and Driving While Intoxicated: Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08 or more (Misdemeanor). Mr. Whelton-Pane was released on $100.00 cash-bail and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Southeast Justice Court.

 

On March 2, 2019, at approximately 12:36 a.m., Deputy Francis McDonough observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on State Route 22, in the Town of Southeast. Deputy McDonough initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. A subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Jennifer Stangarone, age 35, of Southeast, was allegedly intoxicated. Ms. Stangarone was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Ms. Stangarone was processed and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (Misdemeanor), and with Driving While Intoxicated; Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08 or more (Misdemeanor). Ms. Stangarone was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Southeast Justice Court.
