Rep. Antonio Delgado Announces 2019 Congressional Art Competition, Invites Students to Participate
Submissions must be delivered to a district office by April 22nd
KINGSTON, NY — U.S. Representative Antonio Delgado (NY-19) today invited high school students across New York’s 19th Congressional District to participate in this year’s Congressional Art Competition. The winner will have their art displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the year.
“Visiting schools and working with students across Upstate New York, I know we have tremendously talented young people,” Delgado said. “I can’t wait to see the submissions and will be so proud to display art from here at home in the U.S. Capitol.”
All high school students who live in New York’s 19th Congressional District are invited to submit their artwork. Local art professors will select the top five pieces, and then all NY-19 residents will be invited to join an online competition to select the winning artwork. The winning student will receive two round-trip tickets to Washington, DC to attend the Congressional Art Competition reception in June.
Artwork must be delivered in-person to or received by mail at one of Delgado’s district offices no later than Monday, April 22nd, and a release form must be submitted along with each submission. Additional requirements are detailed in the link below.
