HOPEWELL JUNCTION WOMAN WANTED IN CONNECTICUT

ARRESTED IN PUTNAM COUNTY AFTER A TRAFFIC STOP

Putnam County Sheriff, Robert L. Langley Jr., reports the arrest of a Hopewell Junction woman who had an outstanding warrant out of Connecticut. On March 1, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Deputy Christopher Irwin observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on State Route 312, in the Town of Southeast. Deputy Irwin initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. A computer check revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Courtney Campbell, age 31, of Hopewell Junction, had an active arrest warrant out of Danbury. The arrest warrant was for Conspiracy to Commit Larceny, Larceny in the 6th Degree, and Drug Paraphernalia. The Danbury Policed Department was contacted and confirmed the warrant. Deputy Irwin placed Ms. Campbell under arrest. She was then transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility to be held pending extradition proceedings.
