Hyde Park, New York – On March 10, 2019, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks investigated a fatal motor vehicle crash on Albany Post Road in the town of Hyde Park.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., Troopers responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Albany Post Road/State Route 9 south of Mills Cross Road in the town of Hyde Park.  Mindy R. Dohrenwend, aged 32 years, of Hyde Park, was operating a 2005 Honda CRV northbound on Albany Post Road.  Initial investigation suggests Dohrenwend lost control of her vehicle, and entered the opposite lane of travel, directly in the path of a southbound 2017 Freightliner tractor trailer operated by Alexander M. Lunan Marrison, age 49, of Brooklyn, NY.

Mindy Dohrenwend was pronounced deceased on scene by Northern Dutchess Paramedics.

On scene working with the State Police were the Roosevelt Fire Department, Northern Dutchess Paramedics, and the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office.
