Hyde Park man arrested following a domestic dispute

Hyde Park, New York – On March 6, 2019, the New York State Police from the Rhinebeck barracks arrested Brandon Godin, age 25, of Hyde Park, for Strangulation in the 2^nddegree, a class D felony, and Assault in the 3^rd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

On March 6, 2019, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Troopers were dispatched to Springwood Circle in the town of Hyde Park for a domestic dispute by Dutchess County 911.  An investigation found Godin entered the residence, and began strangling a female victim.  A male individual in the residence attempted to help the victim.  Godin then began to assault the intervening male victim prior to police arrival.

Godin was arraigned before the town of Hyde Park, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secure bond.  Godin is next scheduled to reappear before the Court on March 8, 2019, at 4:00 p.m.
