Harlem Valley Girl Scout Service Unit met at the Dover VFW for the annual celebration of World Thinking Day

The Harlem Valley Girl Scout Service Unit met today at the Dover VFW for the annual celebration of World Thinking Day organized by Bridget Burns. Girl Scout Troops each studied their own countries and presented information, traditional foods and fun facts about their country as well as what scouting is like in other countries. Each troop presented and made themed SWAPS for Greece, France and Hungary to exchange and then every Scout earned the official Girl Scout World Thinking Day 2019 Patch. The girls enjoyed learning about and seeing pictures of scouts around the world as well as learning about the World Centers for Scouting.  We thank Bridget Burns for all her annual efforts with this event, as well as the Dover VFW for allowing us to use their hall.
