State Police in Cortlandt conducted a DWI checkpoint

Cortlandt, New York – On February 2, 2019, the New York State Police conducted a DWI safety checkpoint in the area of State Route 9 in the town of Cortlandt.
The detail made one felony, and two misdemeanor DWI arrests. In addition to these arrests 28 tickets were issued for various vehicle and traffic law violations including speeding with a top speed of 104 MPH in a 55-MPH zone.
Clement C. McCann, age 55, of Cortlandt, NY, was arrested for DWI with a prior conviction within ten years, a class E felony, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, an unclassified misdemeanor, and Operating without an interlock device, a class A misdemeanor.
Jorge Sanchez Lopez, age 30, of Yorktown, NY, was arrested for DWI.
Richard Ramos, age 26, of Stamford, CT, was arrested for DWI.
