Obituary, David A. Kozlowski, Sr.

Salt Point – David A. Kozlowski, Sr., 67, of Salt Point, NY passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on April 4, 1951, he was the son of the late Stanley and the late Joyce Bard Kozlowski, Sr. David served in the US Army and was a member of the American Legion, Pleasant Valley Post #739. David worked as a pipefitter for Hills Industrial Mechanics in Marlboro, NY. On November 19, 1977, he married Rose Bennett in Poughkeepsie and she survives him at home. David loved his cars, tools, and dog. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his wife, Rose, David is survived by his son David Kozlowski of Salt Point, NY; his daughters Dawn Kozlowski of Poughkeepsie, Kimberly Kozlowski of Poughkeepsie, BobiJo Kozlowski-Rieker of Kerhonkson and Kristine Lemus of N. Carolina. Also, surviving David are his brothers; Stanley Kozlowski, Jr. and Daniel “DinDin” Kozlowski both of Poughkeepsie, his sister Sandra Acevedo of New Paltz, NY, 16 Grandchildren, 1 Great-Grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sister Patricia Johnson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019, from 4:00-7: 00 pm at 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00am in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
