VERBANK – Owen W. Vose passed away on January 12, 2019, at his home in Verbank, NY at the age of 82. He was born on April 3, 1936, in Poughkeepsie, New York. He was the son of Owen T. and Ruth Simmons Vose.
Owen was a proud United States Navy veteran, serving on the USS Delong from 1954 to 1958. He retired from IES Cary Arboretum in 1997.
Owen is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janice A. Vose of Verbank and his three children and their spouses; Holly Vose Ryley (David) of LaGrangeville, NY, Robin Vose McGrath (Edward) of Winchester, NH and Mark T. Vose (Jennifer) of Pleasant Valley, NY. He is also survived by his six grandchildren; Allison and Aaron Ryley, Ryan and Duncan McGrath and Derek and Emily Vose.
Owen was predeceased by his sister Edna Dicker.
