Village of Pawling “NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING”
TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Pawling will hold a public hearing at the Village Hall, public meeting room, 9 Memorial Avenue, Pawling, New York on February 4, 2019, at 7 o’clock p.m., Prevailing Time on Introductory Local Law 1 of 2019, entitled “A Local Law To Extend Village of Pawling Sewer District No. 1 To Entire Village of Pawling Area” which local law provides that the boundaries of the Village-Wide Extension of the Village of Pawling Sewer District No. 1 shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the Village of Pawling, County of Dutchess; that the mayor and members of the board of trustees shall serve as the governing body of the entire area of the district as extended by this local law; that the map, plan and report filed with the Village Board on December 13, 2018 shows the facilities that are to be owned by the whole of the Village of Pawling Sewer District No. 1 as extended by this local law; that the mayor and members of the board of trustees of the Village of Pawling Sewer District No. 1 as extended by this local law shall have the powers to assess the costs of the creation, establishment and maintenance of the whole of the Village of Pawling Sewer District No. 1 as extended against the lands described in the said local law which is benefitted by the sewer system, provided the said Village of Pawling complies with the requirements of Village Law section 22- 2200 relative to notice, public hearing and right of review prior to the imposition of any assessments, as structured by the said Map, Plan and Report on file with the Village Clerk and the Pawling Joint Sewer Commission at 9 Memorial Avenue, Pawling, New York; TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that copies of the aforesaid proposed local law and Map, Plan and Report will be available for examination at the Village of Pawling Village Hall, 9 Memorial Avenue, Pawling, New York, during normal business hours in the offices of the Village Clerk and the Pawling Joint Sewer Commission on all business days between the date of this notice and the date of the public hearing.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, that all persons interested and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard on said proposal at the time and place aforesaid.
