Harlem Valley Car Club Supports The PRC

Harlem Valley Car Club Supports The PRC

By Susan Stone

The Pawling Resource Center has, once again, received a generous donation from The Harlem Valley Car Club, which has made regular donations to the PRC over the last several years.
This group  is “…more than just a car club”.  It has over 100 registered members and is a non-profit organization that hosts a weekly “car cruise” in the village of Pawling on Wednesday nights from April to September.  These cruises, along with other events, help to raise the funds that the club uses to support local organizations, such as local food pantries, veteran’s organizations, and “Toys for Tots”.  They also offer an annual scholarship to a local student pursuing a career in automotive technology.  Funds to support the club’s charitable donations are made possible through the ongoing efforts of its members and the sponsors who support them.
The Harlem Valley Car Club membership enjoys their time together and are happy to have a positive impact on the community.
The Pawling Resource Center appreciates the support from this local group and was able to put their most recent donation into purchases for the food pantry during the holidays.
Donations to the Pawling Resource Center are always welcome and may be sent to the PRC at 126 East Main Street in Pawling.  Information about the PRC’s services may be found on their website: pawlingresoucecenter.org
