Philmont man arrested following a domestic dispute

On January 3, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Troopers responded to 23 Main Street for a welfare check after a partial 911 call was received. An investigation found Charron engaged in a domestic dispute and struck the victim with a baseball bat. When the victim attempted to call 911, Charron destroyed the phone. Charron fled from his residence and was located a short time later, but resisted as Troopers took him into custody.
Charron was arraigned before the village of Philmont, and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. He is next scheduled to appear before the Court on January 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
