Obituary, Dominic DeSantis

 

 

MILLBROOK – Dominic DeSantis, a life-long resident of Millbrook died on Friday, December 21, 2018.

He was born November 4, 1931, in Millbrook, the son of Antony and Clementine DeSantis.

On October 11, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Church, Millbrook, Dominic married Barbara Vuotto Mrs. DeSantis predeceased him on April 28, 2015. He had three children, Cheryl, Drew, and Jeffrey. Dominic worked as a design engineer for IBM.

Dominic was an avid golfer and an all-around athlete. He loved the outdoors, which he passed on to his children. He found great joy and solace in nature, whether in the garden or hiking in the mountains. Dominic always had a warm smile and never had a bad word for anyone. He was loved by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Kessman and husband Marvin, and their children Cayla, Evan; son, Drew and his wife Dana and their children Dante and Devin; and son, Jeffrey, as well as his twin brother Alex DeSantis. In addition, his siblings, Mary Erts, Theresa Fiore, Carman “Joseph” Marrone, Mary Manzi, Louis Marrone, and Charles Marrone, predeceased Dominic.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 11 am from St. Joseph’s Church, Millbrook. Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Millbrook.
