Four males arrested on drugs and weapons charges

On December 8th, 2018, State Police Montgomery arrested 4 subjects for possessing a loaded handgun, cocaine and marihuana subsequent to a vehicle and traffic stop.

The operator of the vehicle, Juan R. Murillo, age 28, of Newburgh, NY and passengers: Abimael J. Pineiro-Ruiz, age 26, of Newburgh, NY, Dimas A. Guevara-Ramos, age 19, of New Windsor, NY and Maycoll J. Garcia-Pineda, age 19, of Newburgh, NY were traveling on Broadway in the city of Newburgh when they were stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. While speaking to the operator, the trooper smelled marihuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed that there was a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic pistol and a quantity of cocaine and marihuana. All subjects were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree (misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree (felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree (felony). Murillo was additionally charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operator 3rd Degree (Misdemeanor) and Unlawful Possession of Marihuana (violation). They were arraigned in the City of Newburgh Court. All four subjects were remanded to Orange County Jail to in lieu of $10,000 cash or bond.
