Dorothy is survived by her daughters Patricia Hartling and Rosalie Pulver (Glenn) both of Pawling; her four grandchildren: Troy Jones (Laura), Vanessa Jones (John), Julie Kelly (David), Laura Perez (Christopher) and her five great grandchildren: Ethan Kelly, Casey Kelly, Christopher Perez, Emma Perez, Leona O’Connell. Also, a brother, George Mears (CA).
She was predeceased by her brothers, Eugene Mears and John Mears; a sister, Jean Summerson; a son-in-law, Daniel Hartling; and a grandson, Scott Hartling.
A private family burial ceremony will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, at 11:00, at Pawling Cemetery.
Dottie, to her friends, had a zest for life and enjoyed crafting, camping and cooking (especially pies) for loved ones. She will be missed dearly and remembered for her of love of life, her unique sense of humor, her sense of adventure and her ability to make anyone who entered her home feel welcome and like family.
