Arrest Made in 2016 Burglaries

State Police at Middletown announce the arrest of Brian Conklin, age 24 of Yonkers, NY after an investigation into commercial burglaries that occurred during December 2016.

On December 21st and then on Christmas Day 2016, Troopers responded to activated burglar alarms a the Otisville Gulfmart convenience store.  On both dates, Troopers found that the front door had been kicked in.  Items including cash registers, cash, cigarettes and lottery tickets were taken during both crimes.  An initial investigation failed to produce any suspects.

In November 2018, new information was developed that identified Brian Conklin as the perpetrator in both cases.  Conklin was arrested on November 29, 2018, and charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, a felony.  He was arraigned in the Town of Mount Hope Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
