RECENT PUTNAM DRUG POSSESSION ARRESTS RECORDED

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. reports recent drug possession arrests recorded by Deputy Sheriff’s.

On November 5, 2018, at approximately 7:20 pm, Deputy Kevin Osika observed a vehicle commit traffic violations on Peekskill Hollow Road, located in the Town of Putnam Valley. Deputy Osika initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle’s female driver, age 18, of Putnam Valley was in possession of a small quantity of marijuana. The female, was arrested, processed at the scene, and was issued an appearance ticket for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, returnable to the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court. **

On November 6, 2018, at approximately 9:14 pm, Deputy Anthony Tolve observed a vehicle commit traffic violations on Sprout Brook Road, located in the Continental Village area, in the Town of Philipstown. Deputy Tolve conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. New York State Department of Motor Vehicle Computer check revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Christina Deagan, age 51, of Cortlandt Manor, had a revoked New York State driver’s license. Further investigation revealed that Ms. Deagan was in possession of a small number of the prescription pills Amphetamine/ Dextroamphetamine, which she allegedly did not have a prescription for. Ms. Deagan was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Ms. Deagan was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree (Misdemeanor), and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). Ms. Deagan was processed, posted $250.00 cash-bail, and issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Philipstown Justice Court.

On November 12, 2018, at approximately 9:40 pm, Deputy Christopher Irwin observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Church Street and State Route 6, in the Town of Carmel. Deputy Irwin conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. Subsequent investigation revealed that the vehicle’s driver, John Rutledge Jr., age 32, of Patterson, was in possession of alleged marijuana having an aggregate weight exceeding two ounces. Mr. Rutledge was placed under arrest and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Mr. Rutledge was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the Fourth Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). Mr. Rutledge was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Carmel Justice Court.

On November 18, 2018, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Deputy Kevin Radovich observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on Becker Street, located in the Town of Putnam Valley. Deputy Radovich initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. New York State Department of Motor Vehicle Computer check revealed that the vehicle’s driver, Christian Brimon, age 51, of Mohegan Lake , had a suspended New York State Driver’s License. In addition to driving with a suspended license, Mr. Brimon was found to be in possession of the prescription pills Alprazolam and Amphetamine/Dextroamphetamine, for which he allegedly does not have a prescription for. Mr. Brimon was arrested and transported to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for arrest processing. Mr. Brimon was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (Misdemeanor), and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (Class A Misdemeanor). Mr. Brimon posted $250.00 cash-bail and was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court.
