Obituary, Elizabeth “Lisa” Scianna-Mullen

Clinton Corners – Elizabeth Scianna-Mullen, of Clinton Corners, N.Y., born on January 10, 1960, died November 23, 2018. Elizabeth “Liz” passed from this world into eternal peace in the loving arms of our Lord after a Thanksgiving day with her loving family by her side. Lisa succumbed to a long and hard fought battle against Huntington’s Disease in her home with the love of her life, Frank Mullen at her side.

Married 32 years to a loving and devoted husband and also her beloved Son Corey Mullen, whom she adored, beloved grandsons, Dominick and Corey, beloved Sister, Mona Burger and Husband Paul Welsh of Clinton Corners, Brothers, Frank and Thomas Scianna both of Wappingers Falls, and beloved numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Maria T. Stocklmeier and Frank Scianna and her beloved nephew and Godson, Ryan Burger.

Lisa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marist College with a Masters degree in Psychology. She was employed over 20 years with the D.C. Department of Probation. Lisa was dedicated to her profession in helping others rebuild and better their lives. Lisa loved her family above all. She cherished and enjoyed living life. She was strong, outgoing, kind, and giving, and loved nature, art, literature. She truly appreciated the finest things and noticed beauty in so many ways. Lisa enjoyed cruising all over the world, as well as family time, such as making memories at Ogunquit, Maine. She also enjoyed music and Josh Groban. She will be remembered for all these wonderful and gracious attributes. Lisa has touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Please join us as we remember Lisa and celebrate her life with a visitation Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at 64 E. Main St., Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday at 11:00 AM at St. Marys Church Clinton St., Wappingers Falls. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Huntington’s Disease Foundation P.O. Box 912, Salado, Texas 76571.
