Meredith Dignan of Millbrook earns All-SUNYAC honors for Women’s Volleyball at SUNY New Paltz.

NEW PALTZ, NY (11/14/2018)– SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball player Meredith Dignan of Millbrook, New York earns an SUNYAC All-Conference recognition for the 2018 season.

The 2018 season represented one of Coach Matt Giufre’s best years in his New Paltz career. A 24-8 regular season where the Hawks went 8-1 in SUNYAC play, led to a dominant SUNYAC Tournament in which the Hawks dropped just one set.

On Nov. 3, they staved off a late rally by top-seeded SUNY Geneseo to sweep the final game in three sets, bringing home the program’s third SUNYAC championship, all coming under Giufre.

Meredith Dignan was crowned with a AVCA New York All-Region selection award.

NEW PALTZ, NY (11/14/2018)– SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball player Meredith Dignan of Millbrook, New York earned American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Region recognition in the Fall 2018 semester.

After leading the Hawks to the programs third conference championship and sixth appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Dignan was showered with post-season accolades including, First-Team All-SUNYAC, All-SUNYAC Tournament team, NCAA Providence Regional All-Tournament team and now a New York All-Region selection.

Dignan paced SUNY New Paltz this season with 1,133 assists, 48 service aces, and 279 digs.
