Frank J.  Kohl

Frank J. Kohl, 91, a longtime resident of Amenia, NY, formerly of Mamaroneck, NY, died on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Noble Horizons in Salisbury, CT. Mr. Kohl owned and operated Kohl’s Mamaroneck Movers for 21 years, retiring in 1992.

Born on June 15, 1927, in New Rochelle, NY, he was the son of the late Frank A. and Elizabeth (Bergin) Kohl. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. On June 3, 1951, in Mamaroneck, NY, he married Frances DeFazio who died on July 17, 2011.

Mr. Kohl is survived by two sons, Frank M. Kohl and his wife, Suzanne, of Everett, WA and Thomas Kohl of Mamaroneck, NY; two daughters, Nancy Knowlton and her husband, Eben, of Danbury, CT and Claudia Rinaldi and her husband, John, of Millerton, NY. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Thomas R. Kohl.

There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church, Lavelle Rd. in Amenia, NY with Rev. R. Kent Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Cemetery of the Holy Sepulchre in New Rochelle, NY.
