On November 2, 2018, State Police at Highland charged Brittin L. Cafrey, age 27 of Gardiner NY with the following
Rape 1st degree Class B Felony
Sexual Abuse 1st degree Class D Felony
The arrest of Caffrey was the result of the investigation conducted by State Police at Highland and the New York State Police Campus Sexual Assault Victims Unit into a sexual assault complaint that was reported in the Town of Gardiner NY.
Caffrey was arraigned before Judge Blatchly in the Town of Gardiner Justice Court and remanded to the Ulster County Jail pending a future Court appearance.
