VETERINARY STUDENTS ATTEND THIRD ANNUAL EQUINE EVENT
NEW YORK VETERINARY MEETING EXPANDS TO INCLUDE INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Ravena, NY, October 26, 2018– Last month, forty-nine veterinary students from six North American and two international veterinary colleges attended the third annual weekend event at The Equine Clinic at OakenCroft and Rhinebeck Equine. These two practices, along with Millbrook Equine, partnered to give equine focused veterinary students the opportunity to tour clinics, participate in wet-labs and learn about externships and internships. Following the educational activities, prospective equine practitioners traveled to Sequel New York, where they toured an active thoroughbred breeding farm.

Staying true to the original goal to provide a real, hands-on equine educational experience, the three clinics expanded students’ networking/wet-lab opportunities by inviting Drs. Ann Dwyer and Matt Evans, from Genesee Valley Equine Clinic and Austin Equine Hospital respectively.
