Environmental Club Receives Certificate of Appreciation

On Friday, October 12, 2018, Mike Herzog, Wappinger Creek Watershed Intermunicipal Council Chair and Sean Carroll, Cornell Cooperative Community Environmental Educator & Local IT, presented the Millbrook High School Environmental Club with a Certificate of Appreciation for the Trees for Trib Project.

The Trees for Trib Project involved a partnership between the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Millbrook Central School District in May of 2016, when trees were planted on the hill below the Millbrook Middle School Auditorium wing to protect the Wappinger Creek watershed. The mission of the Wappinger Creek Watershed Intermunicipal Council (WIC) is to cooperatively address common issues that may affect the quality of the watershed.
