Michael Joseph Wetzel, 33, a resident of Pine Plains and formerly of Hopewell Junction and Sanford, FL, died on Monday, October 8, 2018, at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Born on May 25, 1985, at West Point, Michael was the son of Bonnie (Grove) Wetzel.
Michael loved watching the Giants play football, making people laugh, being with his family and friends and being a dad to his kids. Michael was the most loving, caring person anyone knew. He would light up a room when he walked in. He was loved by so many people.
Michael is survived by his mother, Bonnie A. Wetzel of Merritt Island, FL; his children, Olivia Wetzel of FL, Kobey Wetzel of FL, and Jadahlynn Wetzel of Pine Plains; his fiancé, Rabecca Rutchik; his siblings, Christopher A. Wetzel of Hopewell Junction and Jamie L. Wetzel of Hopewell Junction; his nieces and nephews, Elijah B. Wetzel, Emmanuel Rodriquez, Trinity A. Rodriquez, Briana M. Wetzel, Christopher A. Wetzel, Jr.; his aunt, Kathy Heady of Beacon; his uncle, Kurt A. Grove of Hopewell Junction; his cousins, Brittney Grove, Andrew Grove, Mackenzie Anders, Krystle Heady, and James Browne; his best friends, Ray Brubacher and Andrea Galletti; and all his other friends and family that will miss him.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 7-9pm at 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
