Interstate 84 closed in the area of exit 17 due to serious motor vehicle crash

Kent, New York – October 1, 2018, the New York State Police are investigating a serious motor vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer on Interstate 84 in the town of Kent, Putnam County.
Interstate 84 eastbound will be closed for an extended period east of exit 17 (Ludingtonville Road/County Route 43).
Traffic will be detoured off exit 17, onto NY State Route 52, to NY State Route 311, and then back to Interstate 84.
Please use an alternate route if possible and please drive carefully.
