TIVOLI – Daisy C. Post, age 88, of Tivoli, died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at The Thompson House in Rhinebeck. Daisy was born Dec. 2, 1926 in Amenia, N.Y., the daughter of the late Chester and Agnes (Haskins) Hoag, Sr. She married Vincent Post on Jan. 27, 1945 in Rhinebeck.
She was predeceased by him on Jan. 10, 1996. Daisy was an avid Bingo player, and she loved sitting on her front porch watching the daily life in the Village of Tivoli. She is survived by her loving family; her daughter Patricia P. (Leonard) Hummel of Poughkeepsie, her son Vincent C. (Wanda) Post of Linden, Va.; a special niece Agnes Burnett of Rhinebeck, her five grandchildren, Vincent C. Post, Jr., Wayne Post, James N. Post; Lacey Hummel-Kogut and, Ashley Smoot. Several great-grandchildren and nieces & nephews also survive her.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4th, at 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook. Burial will follow in the Red Church Cemetery, Tivoli. Friends and family may call on Friday, April 3rd, from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Daisy’s memory to the Tivoli Fire Company, P.O.
