Pawling Resource Center Thanks Volunteers

The PRC held its annual Thank You Breakfast for its many volunteers on Wednesday morning, August 8th in Lankler Hall at Christ Church on Quaker Hill. More than 50 community members who donate time to the Center gathered to enjoy quiche, bagels, smoked salmon, fruit salad and assorted muffins. Executive Director Terry Ariano spoke to the gathering, thanking them for their service. All were welcomed by PRC Board Chair, Rev. Mark Allan, Pastor of Christ Church.

In 2017, Resource Center volunteers donated more than 1994 hours of service in the office and food pantry, and drove more than 22,310 miles bringing people to medical appointments, and provided additional hours transporting food and assisting the Center with other programs. Those who contributed the most hours in each of these categories received a gift certificate to Vinny’s Deli.

The breakfast was organized by the Events Committee of the PRC Board of Directors, as well as Terry Ariano. Committee members include Ann Godesky, Susan Smith, Dorlaine McLaughlin-Judy and Susan Stone. Donations to the event were made by Vinny’s Deli, Dutchess Coffee and Mahaffey’s, as well as PRC Board members.

Small gifts of Crown Maple syrup were given to each volunteer as a token of appreciation.

The PRC is always in need of volunteers. Those wishing to donate some time may contact Ms. Ariano at 845-855-3459.
