Upcoming #ThinkDIFFERENTLY Events

Dutchess County is proud to ThinkDIFFERENTLY about individuals of every ability, and the next few weeks will bring several inclusive events to our County — events you and your family are invited to attend and enjoy!

ThinkDIFFERENTLY/Disability, Dream & Do Baseball Camp

A great Dutchess County park, our own Dutchess Stadium will host the second annual ThinkDIFFERENTLY/Disability, Dream & Do Baseball Camp on Saturday, August 18th. This free event will allow children and young adults of every ability the chance to learn the game from professional players and coaches from the Hudson Valley Renegades. Attendees will receive a free T-shirt, hat and lunch, as well as complimentary tickets to the Renegades’ game on Sunday, August 19th. ThinkDIFFERENTLY Thursday at the Dutchess County Fair

The Dutchess County Fair is New York State’s second-largest county fair, hosting nearly half a million patrons each year, featuring live entertainment, carnival rides, agricultural exhibits, horticultural displays, and so much more. For the third straight year, Fair organizers invite individuals of every ability and their families to ThinkDIFFERENTLY Thursday at the Dutchess County Fair on August 23rd, when they’ll be able to enjoy the Fair ahead of the crowds with a special early gate opening at 9 a.m. and sensory sensitive hours on the carnival midway from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. ThinkDIFFERENTLY Thursday is setting an example around the state, as other fairs are following Dutchess’ lead. Advanced Fair tickets are available online, and you can click the image below for more details about this sensory-friendly event.
