New York State Police investigate the theft of two motor vehicles from Dutchess County

Clinton Corners, New York – New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie Barracks are investigating the theft of two motor vehicles reported to this agency on the morning of August 5, 2018. The vehicle larcenies are believed to have occurred between 10:00 p.m. on August 4, 2018, and 9:00 a.m. on August 5, 2018.

One vehicle, a 2006 gray Volkswagen Jetta, was taken from a driveway on Salt Point Turnpike in the Town of Stanford.  This vehicle was parked at a residence just north of the Town of Clinton line.

The other vehicle, a 2010 light gray Toyota Camry, was taken from a driveway located on Talleur Lane.

The State Police urge anyone who may have witnessed either incident to contact SP Poughkeepsie Bureau of Criminal Investigation by calling (845) 677-7379.    Additionally, anyone with home surveillance camera systems that may have captured either incident is requested to call State Police in Poughkeepsie at the aforementioned phone number.

Residents are advised to not leave keys in any vehicles that are unattended and unlocked.
