Pawling Teens Escape the Room!

Pawling Teens Escape the Room!

By Kate Lambert, Young Adult Program Coordinator

Teens played an escape game at the Pawling Library and successfully escaped the room. Following a series of riddles, they discovered a map, and used a cypher to decode the location of a silver key. In the course of the game, they also got practice using the library catalog to find clues that were hidden in books.

Two teams competed to find the key first. The teens picked their own teams, and decided to play boys versus girls. They each had different clues to follow, but both team’s clues lead to the same key. The competition was cutthroat, and the game ended with both teams racing to find the key at the same time. In the end, the girls won when they found the key hidden behind a still life painting of fruit. Keep an eye out for more escape the room programs offered at the Pawling Library.
