Frank  Jenks Sr.

Frank W. Jenks, Sr., 92, a longtime resident of Dover Plains, NY, formerly of Millbrook, NY, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2018, at Noble Horizons in Salisbury, CT. Mr. Jenks worked for Trotwood Farm in Millbrook, NY. He later worked as a caretaker at Hupper’s Estate, St. Joseph’s Church and Nine Partners Cemetery all in Millbrook, NY.

Born on July 3, 1926, in Springfield, MA he was the son of the late Prentiss and Martha Jenks. Mr. Jenks proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. On May 18, 1957, in Millbrook, NY he married Shirley Withers who survives at home. Mr. Jenks was a former member of the Stanfordville Fire Department and a life member of both the Millbrook Fire Department and the J.H. Ketcham Hose Company. He was also a former member of the Dutchess County and J.H. Ketcham Fire Police. Mr. Jenks was also a member of the VFW Post #9008 in Millbrook, NY.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Jenks is survived by his five daughters, Carolyn Boscardin and her husband, Frank, of Dover Plains, NY, Cheryl Kading and her husband, Edward, of Millbrook, NY, Charlene LeBeouf of Hudson, NY, Linda O’Neill of Glen Cove, NY and Shirley Ann Smith of Stanfordville, NY. He is also survived by a brother, Russell Jenks, of Agawam, MA; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenks was predeceased by a son Frank W. Jenks, Jr. in 2002 and three brothers, Lee Jenks, Nesman Jenks and Prentiss Jenks, Jr.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018, at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
