Port Jefferson Station man arrested for man for drug possession

New York State Police, Wurtsboro arrested Adam M. Podell, 29 of Port Jefferson, NY for Criminal Possession of a controlled substance 4th,  Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.

On July 18th, 2018 Troopers observed a black Mazda sedan in violation of New York State vehicle and traffic law.  A traffic stop was initiated and during the interview, Troopers detected an odor of marijuana.  A probable cause search of the vehicle revealed marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, MDMA capsules, and LSD.

Mr. Podell was arraigned at the Town of Mamakating Court in front of T/J Mullen and was remanded to Sullivan County Jail on  $15,000 Bail and $30,000 Bond. He is to reappear in the Town of Thompson Court on July 23rd, 2018 at 5 PM in front of Town Justice Miller.
