A student who rode Marty’s bus wrote this poem in his honor:

My Bus Driver

I see him every day,
He always wears a different cap.
One days he’s wearing Giants,
If they don’t win, he’ll make a switch to the team that won.
When I don’t make the bus in the morning, he’ll say “Where were you?”
After that he says, “ You ain’t been on for a week!”

He loves one radio station, it’s on every day,
It’s 50’s music or Italian restaurant advertisements.
When it’s noisy he gets cranky and says, “Be quiet everybody I’m driving!”

He sounds like an old grump,
But he’s sweet, he’s kind and oh so funny on the inside.
My bus driver is caring.
My bus driver is Marty.

There will be no calling hours. Gravesides services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at South Amenia Cemetery in Wassaic, NY with Pastor Kathleen Meyerson officiating. To send the family an online condolence, please visit http://www.hufcutfuneralhome.com .
