Beacon Man Charged with Fishkill Robbery


The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of Eric R. Johnson, age 25 of Beacon, in connection with an armed robbery in the Town of Fishkill which occurred in February of this year.
Mr. Johnson was arrested on 5/18/18 after a three month-long investigation into the robbery of the Gulf gas station on Route 9D in Fishkill at approximately 11:30 pm on 2/26/18. He is accused of robbing the store using a black handgun, which has not been recovered.

At this time Mr. Johnson has been charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree, which is a felony. After being processed he was arraigned before the City of Beacon Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the City of Beacon Police.
