Carmel Man Faces Traffic Misdemeanor Charge

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the arrest of a Carmel man on a misdemeanor traffic charge.

On March 11, 2015 at 11:19 a.m. Deputy Sheriff Matthew Monroe stopped a speeding motorist on Oscawana Lake Road in the Town of Putnam Valley. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Lorenzo J. Bravo, 25, of 24 Kashmir Court, Carmel held a suspended registration. The deputy arrested Mr. Bravo and charged him with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Registration is Suspended, a misdemeanor. Mr. Bravo was released in his own recognizance pending an April 19, 2015 appearance in the Town of Putnam Valley Justice Court to answer the charge.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
