Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are expected through this evening with isolated totals around 8 inches across the high terrain. Additional light accumulation is possible tonight into tomorrow, mainly across the high terrain areas. * WHERE...Central and eastern Mohawk Valley, Schoharie Valley, Helderbergs, eastern Catskills, mid Hudson Valley and southern Taconics of eastern New York. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Steady moderate snowfall is occurring this morning across western New England and the Taconics of eastern New York. In many locations, visibility is reduced to under one mile and snow is falling at rates of one half inch to one inch per hour. This is expected to continue through at least the mid-morning hours, with up to three inches of new snow possible by 9 AM. As a result of the snow, travel will be difficult across the region. If you must travel, be prepared for snow covered roadways and low visibility. Be sure to allow for extra time to reach your destination. $$ Frugis
