Florida man arrested for violating an order of protection

Pleasant Valley, New York – On March 9, 2018, the New York State Police from the Poughkeepsie barracks arrested Nicholas G. Skelly, age 28, of Florida, NY, for Criminal Contempt in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.
On March 8, 2018, Troopers received a complaint of an order of protection violation from a victim in the town of Pleasant Valley. Investigation found Skelly violated a duly served order of protection.
Skelly was arraigned before the town of Lagrange Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond. Skelly is next scheduled to appear before the town of Pleasant Valley Court on March 15, 2018, at 4:30 p.m.
