Beacon man arrested for multiple felonies following a domestic dispute

Fishkill, New York – On January 8, 2018 the New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Daniel J. Statini, age 27, of Beacon, NY, for Robbery in the 2nd degree, a class C felony, Strangulation in the 2nd degree, a class D felony, Assault in the 3rd degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the 2nd degree, and Criminal Mischief in the 4th degree (preventing an emergency call), all class A misdemeanors.
On January 8, 2018, Troopers received a complaint of a domestic dispute that occurred on January 3, 2018, on Glenwood Drive in the city of Beacon. An investigation revealed Statini robbed $120.00, assaulted, strangled, and unlawfully imprisoned the victim in his residence. Statini also took the victim’s cell phone to prevent a call for help at the time of the incident.
Statini was arraigned before the town of Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond. Statini is next scheduled to appear before the court on February 13, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.
