Bronx man arrested for possession of heroin and cocaine in Claverack

Claverack, New York – On December 9, 2017, the New York State Police from the Livingston barracks arrested Jermaine C, Scippio, age 45, of the Bronx, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 2nd degree, a class A felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd degree, a class B felony.
On December 9, 2017 at approximately 12:15 a.m. Troopers observed a black 2018 Chevrolet Impala traveling in excess of the legally posted speed limit on the Taconic State Parkway in the town of Claverack and initiated a vehicle and traffic stop. Troopers were assisted on scene by K-9 “Rato,” who quickly alerted to the presence of narcotics. A subsequent vehicle search found approximately 11.5 grams of cocaine and 149.75 grams of heroin.
Scippio was arraigned before the town of Claverack Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail without bail.
