31-Year-Old Man Fatally Stabbed on V Street in Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A 31-year-old man was stabbed to death early Wednesday morning in Northwest Washington, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Authorities responded to the 700 block of V Street, Northwest, around 12:20 a.m., after receiving reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult male suffering from a stab wound.

Emergency personnel from D.C. Fire and EMS rushed the victim to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The victim has been identified as Jonathan Simmons-Miller, a resident of Gaithersburg, Maryland.

Investigation Underway

Police have not yet released details about a suspect or a possible motive. The investigation remains active, and homicide detectives are working to gather more information surrounding the deadly incident.

Reward Offered

In an effort to generate leads, the Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the killing.
