The air is starting to cool, prompting warmer blankets, cups of hot apple cider, and that favorite jacket to keep cozy. Fall is here and with it comes Dutchess Outreach’s annual Susan DeKeukelaere Memorial Coat Drive, sponsored by Guardian Self Storage. We need your help to collect adult and children’s winter coats and jackets that are clean and in good condition. There are eight distribution sites around Dutchess County that will give coats to those in need and help keep our neighbors warm this winter. Last year more than 5,500 coats were collected and distributed. With your help we can increase that number this year.

Coats can be dropped off at any Guardian Self Storage location throughout Dutchess County. Other drop off sites are Rhinebeck Bank Branches, Raymour and Flanigan Clearance Center on 757 Vassar Road and all Red Cap Cleaners locations. Coats will be collected at these locations from Oct. 1 through Oct.31. For more information call Dutchess Outreach at 845-454-3792.

Dutchess Outreach exists to widen food access, increase advocacy, and provide emergency relief by offering a range of vital services for those in need while working to uncover a deeper understanding of the social ills our community faces in order to create innovative, community-minded solutions to achieve a healthier, vibrant, sustainable community.
