Thomas McAvoy, 54, of Sinpatch Rd, died September 4, 2017 at Vassar Brother’s Hospital. He is the son of the late James McAvoy and his surviving mother Bernice June Valyou.
Tom worked as a carpenter, garden landscaper in New York and Florida. He loved family get-togethers, animals and wildlife.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his Daughter Susan, Grandchild Keyrstin, Brother’s James Jr. his wife Sue of Copake, NY, David his wife Karrie of Winchester, CT, Aunt Debbie and Uncle Don Pratt, Aunt Barbara and Uncle Robert McAvoy, Uncle Lyn Valyou, Uncle Wayne Valyou. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services are private. Contributions can be made to the Cancer Society.
