State Police in Rhinebeck arrest Red Hook man after pursuit

PRESS RELEASE
Red Hook, New York – On August 29, 2017, the New York State Police arrested Ryan C. Vogel, age 22, of Red Hook, NY, for Driving While Intoxicated following a brief pursuit.  Troopers observed a vehicle traveling on Route 9G in the Town of Red Hook at 83 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.  After activating the emergency lights to initiate a vehicle and traffic stop the operator, later identified as Vogel, led the State Police on a brief chase down Rokeby Rd to State Route 9 and finally ending on Colburn Dr.
Vogel was placed under arrest for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree a Class E Felony, Unlawful Fleeing of a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree a Class A Misdemeanor, Driving While intoxicated, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, a Violation.

Vogel was issued appearance tickets and traffic tickets returnable to the Town of Red Hook Justice Court for September 28, 2017 at 6:00PM.
