Maloney Statement on Poughkeepsie Navy Sailor Missing After Collision of USS McCain

Newburgh, NY – Representative Sean Patrick Maloney released the following statement after the U.S. Navy announced that one of nine sailors missing after a collision between the USS John S. McCain and a merchant vessel off the coast of Singapore is a native of Poughkeepsie.
“This is heartbreaking. Petty Officer Ingram is an American hero and this tragedy is a reminder of the risks that our servicemembers take every day to keep our country safe. I hope everyone in the Poughkeepsie area will join me in saying a prayer for him and the Ingram family.”
