The Patterson Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries

 

 

On August 23, 2017 at 2:55 AM, the Patterson Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Havilland Hollow Road in Patterson.

Heavy Rescue 22-6-1 arrived to find a one-car accident with entrapment. Assistant Chief Tom Gamache, 22-1-2, arrived shortly after and took Command. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and quickly extricated the driver. Patterson EMS and Putnam County Medic 4 treated and transported the driver to a local hospital. The LifeNet medical evacuation helicopter placed on stand-by earlier was cancelled.

Haviland Hollow Road had to be closed to vehicular traffic for approximately one hour while emergency crews were working on the scene and traffic was redirected by the Patterson Fire Department Fire Police.
