Pawling Resource Center’s Tenth Annual Walk-a-thon, Walk So They May Ride, is scheduled for September 23rd, 2017.  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. at the Resource Center, located at 126 East Main Street in Pawling.  Proceeds will benefit the Resource Center, which provides services to the needy in the town and village of Pawling. Within the last year, the Pawling Resource Center has provided 1,056 rides to medical appointments, food assistance to 4,113 individuals, the loan of 258 items of medical equipment and 322 rides to grocery shop and to the Center’s Food Pantry.

This symbolic walk, which begins at the Resource Center and travels through the Village of Pawling, increases awareness of the Center’s services.  Additionally, it is a show of support by the community, and raises funds to sustain these valuable programs, which continue to grow in scope and number of requests.

Community members are encouraged to join this fun and healthy event to support the PRC!  Walkers and local businesses wishing to participate as sponsors may contact the Pawling Resource Center at 845- 855-3459 to become involved and support this great cause.
